“ Masks are not just something you wear to attend a ceremony! There are healing masks that help you to reveal or embody what’s inside of you, not to hide. In acting the actor creates a revealing mask to portray the character. In my paintings sometimes these faces show up and it’s very hard for me to ignore or destroy them, that’s the time when you realize that the painting has the life of its own and is the one that’s leading you.’’

‘‘In these paintings I wanted to examine the thought and emotional process that goes on inside the mind.

‘‘In the colourful and chaotic world of emotions I wanted to be rational. These squares and lines are my attempt at that although incomplete.”

In the view of Ayin Morradi Squares are representative of mathematical world which leads him into ration and logic.

‘‘Colours define the emotions and sense memories and lines and squares outline the logical and rational side of the mind. To me the squares are in the mathematical domain which is based on logic. Together these two meaning emotions and logic create the thoughts and impulses in us.’’
